Cultivating an ecosystem for engaging with terrific performances and education to strengthen our community.

The George Daily Community Auditorium opened in August of 1997 and is Mahaska County's premier destination for terrific arts performances and education. The theater, located between the Oskaloosa School District's Middle School and High School buildings, is home to over 1,000 events, classes, and programs a year and serves as the community's shared performance space for the Oskaloosa Community School District, William Penn University, and for programming coordinated through the non-profit organization Friends of the Auditorium.

The Daily operates with a full-time staff of three people and presents a 5-6 show season, featuring artists who travel from around the world, a year-round theatre education program, and its own in-house regional theatre company.

For nearly 30 years, the Daily has believed that if you give more than you take, work together, make everything count, and share what you can, that a lot of little can grow to be an awful lot.
