Technical Director - George Daily Community Auditorium
The George Daily Community Auditorium (GDA) is seeking a highly creative, detail-oriented, and education-focused Technical Director (TD) to join its full-time administrative team. The Technical Director is responsible for maintaining and growing the vision and mission of the organization in relation to its facilities and technology. They must be capable of planning, maintaining, and assessing systems that relate to the operation and scheduling of all facilities and technology of the organization and they are expected to cultivate partnerships and relationships between the organization and the broader community and represent the organization positively at a local, state, and national level.
On a day-to-day basis the Technical Director will be preparing for five to six shows that are either produced in house or toured in and presented from all over the world. When not focused on productions, the TD will keep the building and technical equipment ready for anyone that might need them, help train the next generation of theatre artists and community leaders, assist designing and teaching with our very robust theatre education program, and the TD works with a host of community partners on other projects and initiatives to better the community.

This is an opportunity for anyone that is highly organized and can direct a space that can be used up to 1000 times per year from a variety of partners that include the local school district and university, the Chamber of Commerce, the City of Oskaloosa, and other organizations in the arts and culture sector.
The ideal candidate would have experience in all the traditional areas of technical theatre and how to manage a safe environment for interacting with all the areas of technical theatre, they’d be ready to expand the expectations of what a theatre organization can do in a community of 11,000 people, and they would be able bring students of all ages along on the journey

Compensation & Benefits
$40,000 - $50,000
Full-time, Exempt
